Jamal Musiala is training to build up his fitness ahead of Germany’s Nations League semi-final against Portugal.

Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany is ready to back Jamal Musiala to play for Germany in the UEFA Nations League in early June. Provided the player is fit, Sky Germany reported on Tuesday.

Musiala is reportedly focused on playing for Germany. Who are set to play in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals against Portugal on June 4. Before playing in the final or third-place play-off on June 8. Around a week before Bayern Munich start their FIFA Club World Cup campaign in the United States.

‘We always support our players, they always have the spirit to play. We have to consider medical issues, it’s not a normal injury. Of course we always support our players to play for their national teams. We will discuss in the next few weeks.’ Kompany said.

In the pre match press conference ahead of Bayern’s final Bundesliga match against TSG Hoffenheim. A reporter touch on that possibility and queried whether Bayern support a desire to get fit for the international tournament. Head coach Vincent Kompany responded first: “We always support our players.” he stated, via @iMiaSanMia. “They also have the mentality to always want to play. We need to look at things medically. It wasn’t a simple injury. Obviously we always support our guys in playing for their national teams. We’ll discuss things in the coming weeks.”
